House Around My Girl

A visual poetry piece sharing the story of Marie growing up in a generational household. It portrays a dysfunctional environment shaped by three traumatic points, all unfolding while living in the same family home. The film also serves as a music video for Childish Gambino’s Me and Your Mama, created to express the shifts in her emotional state while managing the difficulties of her upbringing, with the finale of her story left to interpretation. I served as the main creator of House Around My Girl, working as the writer, director, and producer.
